Grape Varieties : Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault
Located against the foothills of the "Ventoux" mountain, the "Giant of Provence" (1912 m)
The "Côte du Ventoux" vineyard is extended over the south and the West of the massif
51 villages are constituting the "appellation" area, all are in the Vaucluse "département"
The soils stem from tertiary deposits, of hard limestones, scree slopes, of old alluviums with pebbles
The soil benefits from good periods of sunshine, protected from the mistral wind
Vinification
Each grape variety is vinified separately on a destalked harvest
Ageing
15% of the wine is matured in oak barrel and then in bottle
Colour
Dark and brilliant ruby colour
Nose
Aromatic and complex nose of red fruits and spicy and vanilla notes
Palate
Fat wine with excellent balance
Aromas of cherry, apricot and vanilla
Wines & Food Pairing
Best served at 16°-18°C (61°-64°F)
A great accompaniment to assorted cooked meats, cold starters and white meats
