SANCERRE BLANC 'ELEVE EN FUTS DE CHENE' - Foucher Lebrun
Terroir
From the Sancerre hills where
the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety
has found the terroir
that suits it the best
Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel vats
at low temperatures, then barrelled
for maturation
Ageing
In French oak barrels for 8 months
Colour
A delicate straw-coloured robe
Nose
Very expressive and complex aromas,
made up of grapefruit, citronella and acacia
alongside a delicate buttery fragrance
Palate
The lively attack gives way to candied orange
notes and the roundness resulting from maturation in oak barrels
Wines & Food Pairing
Serve at 12° C (54° F)
Its persistency in the mouth make it ideal
with sole fillet, pike in white butter sauce
or crayfishes in 'court-bouillon'
