Southern Rhône Valley own-appellation wine (cru)
Grape varieties: Grenache (60%), Syrah (20%) and Mourvèdre (10%)
Selected from parcels close to the village of the same name, on the stony scree and sandy soils of the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail hills
Vinification
Grape varieties are vinified separately from destemmed bunches
Blended following malo-lactics fermentation and transfered into barrels during the spring following the harvest
Ageing
Maturation in barrels for approximately six months
Colour
Very appealing, deep and bright crimson red
Nose
Complex aromas of fleshy red fruits with a touch of liquorice
Palate
A round, full and fat wine with fruit, wheat spice and vanilla aromas
Wines & Food Pairing
Serve at 16°-17° C (61°-63° F)
Idealy match with game, meats cooked in sauce, delicatessen meat and strong cheese, such as mature goat's milk cheese
